BERNIE has added another book signing date to his busy schedule and will now be at Bookthrift in Beccles, Suffolk, on Saturday, August 9, at 11.30am

The Watford Waterstone's date, at the Harlequin Centre, is now Saturday, July 26, at 11am.
Check back for confirmation of a Friday lunchtime session soon, with Bernie setting up shop in the City at Ludgate Circus Waterstone's, in Fleet Street.

BOOKS ON THE ROAD...

BERNIE is back on the road signing copies of Cycling Back to Happiness at branches of Waterstone's in the south of the country over the next couple of months.
All the events are on Saturdays and kick-off at 11am.
The dates and venues are:
June 28 - Cribbs Causeway (Bristol)
July 5 - Lowestoft
July 12 - Dorking
July 25 - Watford
August 23 - Hastings

DOWN TO DORKING...

BERNIE will be signing copies of Cycling Back to Happiness at Waterstone's in Dorking on Saturday, July 12. Kick-off is at midday. A Colchester event is also in the pipeline for July.

BRIGHT MAGAZINE STAR...

ADVENTURE Travel Magazine, a big glossy monthly national publication, has named Cycling Back to Happiness as its star book of the month in the latest issue (May/June08).

Describing the book as 'the bravest they have read this year' it knocked no over than TV survival expert Bear Grylls' efforts and comedian Dave Gorman's America Unchained into second and third place! Judith Chalmers watch out!

GOING FOR GOLD...

HENRY Kelly must be game for a laugh, as he is interviewing Bernie on his BBC Radio Berkshire (94.6FM and online) show next week (ED...I'll get me coat). The live chat will take place on Bank Holiday Monday, May 5, so recover from your hangover with some Bernie/Kelly combination therapy. Should be transmitted about 11am.
Bernie also appeared on Steve Scrutton's BBC Essex show this week, which is still available to hear online. Subjects covered were using crushed fruit to keep your backside free of pain while cycling and saddle shaped buttocks.

NEW WATERSTONES SIGNING ADDED...

BERNIE has added an additional Waterstones book signing date. He will be at the Basildon branch, in Eastgate, on Saturday, May 10, between noon and 2pm. Bernie will also be signing books at the Southend Book Fair on Saturday, June 7, held at the town's South East Essex College.

UNSTOPPABLE RADIO GUEST...

BERNIE was a guest of former Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine guitarist Les 'Fruitbat' Carter on his PhoenixFm Radio show, talking about Cycling Back to Happiness, lightweight drinking and toiletry habits, among other things.

DANISH SIGNING DETAILS...

BERNIE will be signing Cycling Back to Happiness in Ribe, Denmark, on Thursday, May 22.
Two signing sessions will take place at the town's book store, Ribes Bøger og Gaveidéer, between 4pm and 5pm, and at Cafe Quedens, at 7.30pm.

GET 'EM WHILE THEY'RE HOT...
 
BOOKS have arrived at Southend Waterstones ahead of the official launch of Cycling Back to Happiness on Saturday, May 3.

BERNIE will be in the High Street store - which is currently keeping Erika prisoner - between noon and 2pm.There will be a free North Sea beer for the first few people who turn up on the day. Don't forget your bottle openers!
